How to Support

There are many ways everyone can support the Jackson Rising Conference. Here are a few of the most concrete ways:

1. Donate via our crowdsourcing campaign.
2. Promote the conference via social media – Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.
3. Help generate media for the conference by organizing television and radio interviews with conference organizers.
4. Organize local meetings and discussion groups about the conference and the transformative and wealth producing possibilities of cooperatives and work-owned enterprises in Jackson, other parts of Mississippi, the Southeast, and the larger Unites States
5. Organize a delegation from your city, state or region to attend and participate in the conference.

How to Sponsor

We are asking all donors, organizations, foundations, or businesses interested in becoming a Sponsor of the Jackson Rising Conference to make the following contributions:

1. Provide $5,000 or more.
2. Provide in-kind services to the conference or the Grassroots Economic Series in the way of volunteer time, facilities, equipment, or promotion.

All Sponsors will be listed on the Jackson Rising website, promotional materials, and conference program.

To sponsor the Jackson Rising Conference please email JacksonRising@gmail.com and inform the organizers of your intent to become a sponsor, the amount of your financial contribution, and what additional supports you are able to provide.

Please make your financial contribution out to Community Aid and Development Incorporated, and please specify “Jackson Rising” in the notes section of your check. Please mail donations to:

How to Endorse

We are asking all organizations, foundations, businesses or Networks interested in becoming an Endorser of the Jackson Rising Conference to make the following contributions:

1. Support promotion of the conference and its fundraising initiatives by sending our appeals to your listserves, social media outlets, and media (television and radio) contacts.
2. Provide volunteers for outreach (local pre-conference) and for the conference itself to assist with registration and logistics.

To endorse the Jackson Rising Conference please email JacksonRising@gmail.com and inform the organizers of your intent to become an endorser, the amount of any financial contribution you can make, and what specific support you are able to provide, when, where, and how.

How to Volunteer

To become a volunteer for the Jackson Rising Conference please email JacksonRising@gmail.com and inform the organizers of your intent to become an volunteer.

Please specify when you can volunteer (either on a ongoing basis or what specific dates, times, etc.) and what skills and/or services you can provide like outreach work, phone banking, designing flyers, documentation (film and photography), child-care, logistical support, data entry, etc.
